Thoughts

Occasionally I will have (or find) an inspiring thought that I think sums up a situation pretty nicely. Find these thoughts here.

The smallest things can spark the deepest of realizations in people. This type of realization goes by many names across many cultures: epiphanies, 見性, grokking, ηὕρηκα, the idea is the same. Whether it’s a movie, some stupid article online, or a random comment, these triggers are not to be brushed aside. The feelings they create, feelings of deeper understanding: of yourself, the universe, or life, are genuine, and are the kinds of things, things unteachable by a book or conversation, that stick with you for a lifetime.

When you will survive if you fight quickly and perish if you do not, this is called [death] ground… Put them in a spot where they have no place to go, and they will die before fleeing. If they are to die there, what can they not do? Warriors in great danger, then they have no fear. When there is nowhere to go, they are firm, when they are deeply involved, they stick to it. If they have no choice, they will fight.
